May "Mayday" Parker, also known as Spider-Girl, is a comic book character from Marvel Comics. She resides in an alternate future timeline designated as Earth-982, also known as the MC2 universe.
Mayday is the daughter of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and Mary Jane Watson-Parker. Initially believed to be stillborn, she was secretly rescued and raised by Norman Osborn's associate, Alison Mongrain.
In her mid-teens, Mayday develops powers similar to her father, prompting him to reveal his past as Spider-Man. Inspired, she takes up the mantle of Spider-Girl, fighting crime and carrying on her father's legacy.
Spider-Girl first appeared in What If? #105 (February 1998) before headlining her own eponymous comic book series.
